Young Women in Excellence

Last night we had our Young Women in Excellence celebration. Thanks to all involved to make the night such a great success. Brother Dunaway spoke on the importance of Personal Progress in our lives, we watched a video the Reeder's made from pictures of activities, and interviews with our YW to get to know them and their Personal Progress projects/interests better. Sister Balls spoke on her experiences with the YW program and joining the church and the night ended with a special musical number "Walk Tall You're a Daughter of God" sung by the YW leaders to the YW. It was a fun night! We didn't take too many pictures, but here are a few... Thanks again to all involved to make this night a success!

Clothing Drive

Tonight for Mutual the Mia Maiads and Laurels combined to help Kristi Frischknecht collect clothing donations (that were donated to St Anne's homeless shelter) from around the ward boundries for her 10 hr Good Works project. The donations were numerous and so many people contributed that when all together the Frischknecht's living room was a sea of bags of clothing...... Congrats on a successful service project!

Update

We had a great time at our getting-to-know you activity. Thanks everyone for coming! We had a new Laurel Presuidency set apart on Sunday. Mackenzie Burton- President, Brooke Frischknecht as First Counselor, and Janelle Beukers as secretary. It was neat for me to listen to the counsel that was given to each of the girls as the members of the bishopbric set them apart. We have such a great group of girls and we look forward to getting to know all the girls better!
