Lipstick Pictionary
Thanks to the Beehives for planning such a fun activity tonight for us. We were supposed to play a tennis game, but due to the crazy wind, it changed and we played Lipstick Pictionary. It was like pictionary, except we had to draw the pictures with the marker in our mouth! Ha ha. We each had our own marker, so it wasn't all germy...no worries.

Here are Shaydra and McKenzie taking a shot at drawing

Death By Chocolate
Tiffany H. (our new Laurel) was in the play Death By Chocolate this weekend. It was a funny murder mystery that had interesting twists and turns. They did such a good job! Tiffany played Margaret Daniels...a "reporter" for Elite magazine...or so we thought. There may have been a twist or 2 thrown in there. Tiffany, and the entire cast and crew did a wonderful job. We look forward to the next performance.

Trying to convince the new owner to give her some details about what is going on....

What a great production! Good job to all involved. We are so proud of you Tiffany!

Bowling
Well, we were supposed to go ice skating at the Merlin Olsen Park in Logan tonight for mutual, but due to the warmer weather we have been having, the rink closed on Feb 12th. So, we decided to hit up the 'ol bowling alley...it was a fun substitute and we had a blast!

The whole group getting started, choosing lanes and what not...

Bowling shoes are so awesome!

Clarissa got a strike, so Nicole taught her the strike cheer!

Followed by a spare from Sephie....Nicole was in rare form! hee hee

Myrissa goiong for a not-so-traditional bowling style

Cheri's own ZERO face after TWO gutter balls! oops!

Our own twinkle toes...Jamie Flintstone!

Teaza must have beat Clarissa....

One silly group of YW!!!

New Beginnings
What a wonderful time to be in Young Women! Tonight we had our New Beginnings program and the spirit was definately strong throughout the whole program. Sister Balls started the night out by telling us of the updates that have been made to the Personal Progress materials... For more information visit... http://www.lds.org/pa/display/0,17884,6884-1,00.html We are excited for the updates in Personal Progress and excited that by following this program it will bring you closer to the Lord and allow you to have several personal and faith building experiences.
We have 1 new Beehive that will be joining us this year in July. Katherin Johnson. We had each of the girls ask a question to get to know Katherine better and her mom secretly got the answers for us. So, the night of New Beginnings we called Katherine up and each girl told us what they had found out about her. We are so excited for her to join us. Her spunk and spirit will be great fun to have in the YW program!
Our mutual theme for the year is in Joshua 1:9 "Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest." The basis for the talks of the evening was taken from that scripture.

Our program and podium with all of the YW values

Sister Gleason started us out with her talk on "Be strong and of a good courage". Following her talk Sister Reeder's sister Brooke Betenson sang our special mucial number...Be strong. We appreciated her dedication and willingness to drive all the way from Logan to perform for us. Following our Special musical number, Sister Reeder gave a talk on "Be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed" and encouraged us to come closer to the Lord. Sister Peterson then tied up the scripture with her talk on "for the Lord thy God is with thee, whithersoever thou goest" and reminded that the Lord is with us at all times and in all places. Brother Beck ended the night with his talk on helping us to set goals. It was a fun night and a great push in the right direction to begin/continue our personal progress.

Sister Reeder and her sister Brooke, who performed our special musical number "Be Strong".

Our Beautiful Young Women with their new Personal Progress books!
And the night ended with our delicious refreshments made by our sweet Sister Jeppsen...fruit soup and cookies! YUM!

See you all again next year!
